To develop a marketing plan to raise the profile of the airport, retain existing operators and attract new operators to the airport. To accelerate economic growth through strategic projects involving the development of infrastructure and tourism.
Vector is identifying gaps in the measures being taken in promoting tourism such that steps can be undertaken including managing a general profile raising and awareness plan to attract the travel industry.
Vector will manage events in Europe and Swaziland and make arrangements for a group of journalists to visit Swaziland to raise the awareness in the international press of Swaziland's tourism offering.
Vector is advising on the development of international routes to the new international airport to improve tourism.
Part of the role involves the procurement of a routes specialist and working to identify the potential candidates with whom to negotiate routes to Sikhuphe International Airport.
This includes the creation of the airport's brand and the production of promotional material along with promoting the airport at conferences such as ROUTES.
