Project and Cost Management
The works comprised an extension to an existing open air mall totalling 29 retail units varying in size between 100-300m². The total gross area of the extension is 4870m² and the building cost was €11 million.
This second phase was opened to the public on the planned opening day in September 2006. The architectural inspiration of the project reflects the industrial heritage of the area and creates a venue unique in Europe for shopping
A Design and Build procurement route was adopted with the concept design prepared by US based architect, JRDV. A key Vector deliverable was to ensure that the design quality required by the concept architects was detailed by the contractor’s design team
