To develop a new aircraft engineering base to be built at Cardiff, Wales airport creating 1,200 jobs. The facility was to carry out heavy maintenance on the airline’s growing fleet of Boeing 747s. The purpose built aircraft maintenance facility was to include support workshop, non destructive testing, paint shop and complete product planning to include technical support.

Project & Commercial Management Project Manager, Commercial Manager and Value Manager involved in its delivery are Vector employees. With strong links to the BAMC management team, our managers have maintained an involvement since the facility opened, and have a clear understanding of the factors which have made this facility so successful.

British Airways has the world's only licensed dual bay facility capable of maintaining and overhauling Boeing 747 and 777 aircraft. British Airways Engineering cultural changes in recent years have used operational priorities developed at Dragonfly - many of which determine the facilities needed for the modern engineering business.
