Objective
After the merging of Chase Manhattan Bank, JP Morgan and Robert Fleming the enlarged bank’s 150,000m2 London office was to be reconfigured to integrate its 5,600 staff. The office portfolio was diverse and spread around the City. Major construction was anticipated in many of the buildings and this had to be fast and free from both business interruption and any defects.
Services
Project Management & Cost Management Vector was appointed as the Bank’s Project Manager, working closely with the bank’s New York and London management teams. The services involved Project Management, Planning and Cost Management. Vector acted as overall Programme Manager with several other firms assisting on specific projects and buildings to meet the target dates.
Client benefit
Vector’s recent radical re-appraisal of JP Morgan’s office accommodation, working requirements and support functions was instrumental in the successor this fast track project. This detailed knowledge of the Bank’s operations allowed Vector’s PM team to begin immediately without a lead in period, effectively managing the stakeholder and the physical activates on this multiple site project.
