The construction of a corporate headquarters building on a prime site in one of the most sought-after areas in England’s ‘Silicon Valley’. The brief for this landmark development called for the periphery of the site to be landscaped to optimise Pillar’s hallmark standards.

Project Management Reporting to the Developer’s Management Board, Vector was selected by Pillar to provide Project Management of this 10,000m² high specification development. Service provision included design management, cost management, tendering procurement, statutory approvals, construction supervision, through to completion and hand-over.

Vector’s invaluable combination of construction experience and extensive knowledge of the property market achieved project completion at £½m under budget thanks to a detailed value management exercise. Since the site is an integral part of the Reading Flood Alleviation Scheme a lake was provided as part of the extensive landscaping to the site. The Client needed exactly this sort of consultancy for the development, in order to lease the building to Sage Software at an early stage during the project.
