To commission a new data centre as part of the airline's contingency and disaster planning review. The new data centre had to meet strict operational criteria,  geographical constraints and include 100% back-up support .

Project Management Vector provided a comprehensive range of project management services in preparing the brief, procurement strategy, design management and delivery of the new Heathrow Operations Datacentre.  Risk management workshops were arranged to exhaustively test the design and meet the contingency planning requirements. The facility provides front line information management for British Airways operations and sales functions.

Vector led the combined BA/Vector team in procuring the new facility and integrating the new data centre within British Airway’s worldwide IT network. The project was successfully completed to exacting standards on time and within budget..
